R/E Good Build?
I'm starting a prophecies ranger so i cant go R/rit yet, but I'm thinking R/E.
Does anyone know a good build for R/E using a Barrage and Conjure Flame Combo?
Thanks.

I'm guessing you start out with barrage and conjure flame. Make sure you have a fiery bow or are using something like conflagration. Then conjure up and barrage away. Bring interrupts like savage and dshot, troll, natty stride. Don't bring a pet, it'll spread your att's too thin imo. The rest is up to you. DO NOT bring other fire magic skills, unless its like mark of rodgort. So many idiots decide that just because they're running conjures and speccing, that they've automatically become an ele. You're not an ele, you're a ranger.

This might require a bit of maintenance on your part - but this was always fun to run, spikes nicely in pvp too.
Rampage as One
Kindle Arrows
Conjure Flame
Dual Shot
Troll Unguent
Charm Pet
Comfort Pet
Rez?
The dual shot will deal ~ quite a bit of damage. This is more fun than anything, and deals more with the kindle arrows than you would with barrage.

If you start a ranger in prophecies it will probably be a long time until you get Barrage (depending on if you get run places).
Also the new Kurzick/Luxon skill triple shot skill could be useful.

Its not going to be a long time before i get barrage because i'm going to use an elite ranger tome to get it.

Forgive us oldtimers, tomes are too new and not usefull enough (old characters can go anywhere to cap elites) to factor into our builds.

Well for you information(although it really doesn't matter), i could be considered and "oldtimer" since i got Guild Wars when it first came out....
What type of bow is best for Barrage + Conjure ranger?

That is old.
A Flatbow, I think, it has a (slightly) faster refire even on Barrage - and you want the damage packets delivered as frequently as possible.

flatbow refire rate is same as shortbow with the advantage of the range so remember bringing favorable winds if you bring a flat bow

for maximised damage you should use a vampiric bow, but i advise to combine it with second bow - zealous, becase you'll often drop out of mana while spamming barrage
